That.. title in and of itself is a misnomer. For the very definition of Pentimento means that there is change..from the original. And that is what this blog is all about.. the change of my world, my art, my life.
I'm not writing any background here, or history. We all have our own history. Mine is what it is and has sculpted me to this point in time.. I am who I am..
Today is Tuesday.. I love my tuesdays.. it's the day I broadcast on Radio Riel and while I listen to the music that I am broadcasting I work on one of my passions: Dolls.. not your baby doll, barbie doll type of dolls but DOLLS.
I started making art dolls about 9 or 10 years ago. Cloth sculptured dolls mostly. I attempted some polymer and clay dolls.. but was never successful. My first attempts were feeble at best..I wanted so to capture faces and bodies with that smooth look. It wasn't until I came back to the USA where materials and knowledge was readily available that I was able to start to craft the dolls that I wanted to make.
And so this is what this blog is about, the struggle to make ART, both internally and externally. To perfect my craft, to have my signature.
Right now I am still perfecting. Encouraged by my lover, my muse to stretch and grow.
All in All.. life is pretty damn good at the moment.. and I am greatful
